The Paramus Farmers Market Is Looking Forward To Its Second Summer Season
Paramus Farmer's Market

The Paramus Farmers Market is looking forward to its second summer season for some wonderful fun and food. Please join us on Wednesdays, June 19 - September 18, from 2:30 - 6:30, in the parking lot next to Petruska Park (475 Farview Ave). In addition of your favorite vendors from last year we are welcoming several new vendors that have asked to join our market.

Our new vendors offer a wide array of products including Mediterranean specialties like hummus, taboulle, spinach pie, and stuffed grape leaves from Nana's Home Kitchen; a variety of cheeses from Edgwick Farms; grass fed beef, chicken and fresh eggs from Lowland Farms and Peg's Eggs; and Sanducci's Trattoria will be offering pizza both frozen and baked. While you are shopping you can cool off with Uncle Louie G's Italian Ice with fresh fruit toppings, Lizzmonade's fresh lemonade or Amanda Banana's fresh frozen soft serve fruit with toppings. Session Bistro of Maywood will be working with our market to offer farm to table dinners on Wednesdays at their restaurant throughout the summer also.

The Environmental Committee which sponsors the market will have a composter for all organic waste to help keep it out of the municipal waste stream. We will be promoting recycling of bottles, cans, and plastic to make the market green. Some of the environmental committee members will be on hand for any questions. We will be welcoming Performing Art groups from local businesses to perform during market hours for some entertainment as well as the Paramus Library, Produce Pete and Fred Behnke from Behnke Historical Museum will be joining us with photos, artifacts and old farm equipment. See the schedule on the town website.

On July 17 the county will be on hand to distribute Senior FMNP vouchers to those who qualify so that residents do not need to travel to Hackensack to pick them up. WIC is accepted at the market.
